Help scheme

Who is eligible?

The help scheme will be offered to all households in which one person:

• Is aged 75 years or over; or
• Has a significant disability - that is, those in receipt of Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Constant Attendance Allowance or mobility supplement; or
• Is registered blind or partially sighted; or
• Is resident in a care home.

People will be eligible if they meet these criteria at any time during a nine-month period, which will start eight months before switchover is completed in their TV region.
